Everyone loves to trawl Twitter and Facebook for the best articles around about the great sport that we love, football! Well to acknowledge the best out there, The Football Blogging Awards was set up covering a number of categories like best new blog, best established blog, best football podcast, best video blog and best football forum to name a few.

The 2014 list of finalists have been announced and can be seen here. With the award ceremony due in November at the National Football Museum in Manchester, we have a recommendation for you to vote for.

Some of you will read articles by our resident writer Gareth Thomas, well his site founded in 2013 are up for one of the major awards, the ‘Best New Blog’. The Football History Boys are two history graduates from Swansea University who write about all aspects of the beautiful game as well as tweet about it. They have regular series such as ‘the crest dissected’, ‘football by the decade’ and ‘the top 250 players of all-time’ and have grown immensely in stature.

We would love you to vote for them and earn THFB some national recognition so here is a link on how to do it. You can vote on Twitter, Facebook or via the Football Blogging Awards website so find them on the list, check them out and give them your support as we head to the finals in November!
